SIMPLIFIED STUDY
Using hatching and cross hatching I block out areas of highlight, middle tone and dark tone
GEOMETRIC ABSTRACTION
I love Mathematics especially the Venn Diagram where circles overlap. I overlap geometric shapes strategically to recreate the human form and color or paint in between.
LINEAR ABSTRACTION
I use undulating lines to flow through the negative and positive space revealing the woman hidden underneath. For rendering I have used corrugated paper to imprint the pattern as well as sticking it directly on the painting.
